About

Timber is my material of choice, suiting my attention to detail and interest in implicit learning. In my practice I use it to produce sculpture and furniture that consistently influence one another in a continuous dialogue. I obsess over traditional skills, and old tools I find and fix. They inspire textures and finishes, and they help me create playful pieces, conforming a medley of useful and useless. I often exaggerate joinery, spoon making and carving, applying these skills to pieces that are sometimes functional and long lasting, yet often are just blessed with inefficiency and fragility. Whether practical or not, my work shares an interest in rich textures and light, in minimalist forms bathed in maximalist colours.

This blend of sculptural craft and furniture has been consistent since graduation from an MFA in furniture design at HDK-Valand Steneby in 2018. As a full‐time freelance maker, I design unique pieces, build custom furniture, and have gallery shows, frequently exhibiting both in Sweden and internationally.
